Phuket City in Thailand

Phuket, rainforested, mountainous island in the Andaman Sea has some of the most popular beaches of Thailand, mainly located along the clear waters of the west bank. The island is home to many high-end resorts, spas and restaurants. Phuket City, the capital, old shophouses and bustling markets. Patong, the main town of the station, many discos, bars and nightclubs.

Phuket Town is the largest city in the Province of Bangkok. It has a population of 63,000 and is the economic center of the island. The most city just an ordinary, scruffy provincial Thai, is not a major tourist attraction, but the Chinatown area is worth a look and there are some great business opportunities as Thai style. Overall, the accommodation and food in the city is cheaper than near the beaches, and can provide a refreshing change of pace.

Buses and songthaews connect the city of the main beaches of Phuket Island and go to market Ranong Ranong Rd. To get there if you're in the old bus station (number), walk back to the road you came and turn right. (Phang Nga Rd) Walk to the end of the road, about one kilometer, turn left, then right and you will see the blue songthaews few hundred meters along the left. The first to come to go to Patong. Bus Terminal 1 (the old center of the terminal) has no markings indicating that it is Terminal 1. Buses run to local destinations here, for example, Khao Lak and Takua Pa. Khao Lak is Baht 90- 120.

Phuket International Airport is located 30 km north of Phuket town, about 30 minutes by taxi (500 baht), 45 minutes from Vanpool (100 baht) or 1 hour by bus Bus Terminal Government (Baht 85). This is always the number one old bus terminal. You can stop at the new terminal.

Bus Terminal 2
